How to compare website reviews

Start with the website you plan to use. Its directory entry brings together the domain, its purpose and the number of published reviews. Check the domain first, especially when two services have similar names. Then open the profile to see what people were trying to do and how the website helped them along the way.

Read the stories behind the score

A four-star average can describe very different experiences. Two readers might agree that a guide is easy to follow, or they might disagree about whether it gives enough detail. Look at the number of ratings alongside the average. On the profile, select a star level to see what those readers had in common. Sort by date if you want to see which issues people encountered most recently.

Find a review that fits your plans

For example, if you have one afternoon in Prague, a comment about the length of a walk can tell you more than a general recommendation.
